Support for the Journey

  Welcome to Parenting Autism in Color!! While on the journey of raising my son I often found myself being the only person of color in a lot of settings. After a while I realized that part of the issue was due to lack of knowledge and lack of access to resources. Whether you’re like myself, being the first one in your family to have a special needs child or familiar with special needs but just need a little guidance, I bid you to come in the room and make yourself comfortable. Various topics, resources and conversations will be shared with the hope of providing more access for our beautiful children and their families. Let’s remember to create moments of peace in our sometimes-chaotic world.

As a special needs parent, special education teacher and advocate, I have the knowledge, tools, resources and understanding to help you navigate through the life you never imagined.
